Treasure Hunt at Egyptian Pyramids: Students will explore authentic textiles and museum artifact replicas to learn about ancient Egyptian pyramid architecture. The class will study the stages of pyramid architecture starting with step pyramids and Imhotep the first architect. Volunteers will ride a real camel saddle wearing Egyptian textiles & dig up King Tut’s buried treasure museum models. History will come alive with true stories and cultural objects from Paisley’s childhood travels through Egypt’s pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Each child will create their own Egyptian pyramid treasure with sand or mosaic technique depending on developmental level.
